Glen Campbell Artist 1127-4

The Glen Campbell Artist Balladeer, model 1127, was introduced in 1969.  Cosmetically it shares almost every feature with the Legend model, except for the bowl.  The Artist series (1121 Artist Balladeer and 1127 Glen Campbell Artist) make use of a slightly shallower bowl.  This decrease in bowl depth has some effect on the bass end and overall volume when compared to the Legend.  However, this is more than offset by the increased comfort when holding and playing the shallower bowl.  The example shown below is a 1969 model which carries over the larger Glen Campbell truss rod cover, the steeper headstock angle and uses the “wing” shaped walnut bridge.  Other features are the bound neck, diamond shaped fret markers and gold Schaller tuners.
