The second generation of Ovation solidbody electrics included the double cutaway Preacher, shown below.  The Preacher features a mahogany body, two-piece 24-fret mahogany neck, and chrome Schaller hardware including the stop tail-piece.  Passive electronics consist of two high-output double coil humbucking pickups and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, and a three way toggle mounted on the pickguard.  Stereo and mono outputs were standard.  Later versions had the name "Preacher" engraved on the pickguard.  Also available was a Deluxe Preacher which featured active electronics, gold hardware and large block style MOP fretboard inlays.  The Deluxe model was also available in a 12-string version.  Click HERE for specifications.
