Applause Mandolin

The model MAE-148 mandolin by Applause in Korea is the entry level Ovation mandolin.  Yet it has most of the same features as the higher priced Celebrity model, including the wonderful under saddle pickup and OP-24+ pre-amp system.  This is an awesome little mando for stage work and the construction of lyrachord bowl, ply top and nato neck can take a beating.  It lacks a lot of the fit and finish of the USA models, yet still gets the job done as a very reasonably priced instrument.  Click HERE for specifications.
