Lanikai Ukuleles of Hawaii make a really nice line of mahogany, spruce
and koa instruments. My personal uke shown below is a Koa Tenor,
model CK-T. The beautiful certified koa body is trimmed with
inlaid maple and set off by a rosewood bridge and fretboard.
Grover geared tuners and a bone nut/saddle combination add to the deep
rich sound of this tenor. The neck is very slim and fast and I
usually keep this one tuned to standard G-C-E-A using GHS strings. |
