The "Flea" Soprano Ukulele

Ovation guitars aren't the only roundback composite stringed instruments made in new Hartford, CT.  Just down the road in a converted gas station is the home of Flea Market Music.  They are the company that sells the wonderful line Jim Beloff ukulele books, CDs and DVDs.  Plus the home of the FLUKE and FLEA composite ukuleles.  The concert sized FLUKE and the soprano sized FLEA are unique in that they feature composite (plastic) bodies and uni-construction fretboards.  The necks and soundboards are wood.  Shown below is my FLEA soprano uke in the laser etched Ivy motif.  This is a great travel uke and the sound quality is surprisingly good considering that it is basically the modern day version of the Ememee Tiger Guitar.
