C.F. Martin 00-18 Steve Howe Model |

In 1999
Martin produced a limited edition of 250 guitars designated at the
00-18SH Steve Howe signature model. The long time guitarist of Yes
fame has played a 1953 model 00-18 as his main acoustic since the very
beginning of his career. This limited edition features most of the
design elements of Steve's own guitar. A specially selected
Englemann spruce top is matched to solid mahogany back and sides.
The top is finished in a vintage toner and set off by tortoise binding
and pickguard. Original style rosette and inlays from 1953 are
used, as is vintage style chrome Kluson tuners. Steve Howe and
C.F. Martin have personally signed the labels and Steve's signature is
also delicately inlayed at the 18th fret. Bone nut and saddle
contribute to a sound that is pure small bodied vintage Martin and the
detail and finish work is exquisite.
